                             ORDINANCE NO.   10035 
                
                 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                 AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, ARTICLE
                 V, SECTION 1001 SO AS TO PERMIT RECYCLING
                 PROCESSING CENTERS IN THE M-1 MANUFACTURING
                 ZONE.

         	BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
         CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, 
the
         Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended:
        
         	SECTION 1:   That Article V, Section 1001, be amended to
         add the following new sub-section:
                (3.01)	Recycling Processing Centers for materials to
                        be recycled and used in new products provided
                        that:
                       
                        (a)  All processing such as compacting,
                             shredding, or bailing shall be
                             within an enclosed building;
                       
                        (b)  All outdoor storage shall be
                             concealed from view, beyond the
                             limits of the property, by fencing
                             or natural screening; or
                       
                        (c)  Any other storage shall be within an
                             enclosed building; and
                       
                        (d)  No salvaging of parts or dismantling
                             will be permitted.
                            
        
         	SECTION 2.   BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
